Hi friends, hope everyone has had an amazing week!
I spent last weekend on the road and ended up at one of Oklahoma's many state parks: Robbers Cave. It is located about 45 minutes southeast of Eufaula near Wilburton. I had no idea it even existed! That's what I love about jumping in the car and seeing where you end up.
If you're a history buff, Robbers Cave is interesting because of the famous outlaws who used to frequent the cave—Jesse James and Belle Starr being the most notorious and thus the name "Robbers" Cave.
The state park also offers some amazing views, and if you fancy yourself an outdoors enthusiast you will not be disappointed. Here is a view from directly on top of the cave:
Love hiking? These bright orange markers will guide you along some of the parks many trails:

The park also offers several lodging options such as cabins, campsites, and even yurts (look these up, they're awesome!).
So if you're looking for a day-trip to get out of the house or a mini vacation to get out of town for a few days, Robbers Cave State Park offers something for the whole family!
