The Meadow Gold neon sign, erected in the 1940s, was used to advertise for the Beatrice Foods Company. The sign used to be located at 11th and Lewis, but was later moved right down the street to 11th and Quaker Ave. The sign was almost demolished in the early 2000s, but was saved through the efforts of preservationists.
